Whole Water Regenerative Development LLC
Whole Water Systems LLC
Whole Water Regenerative Development (WWRD) builds on over two decades of sustainable design expertise through Whole Water Systems (WWS), a leader in green infrastructure and ecological water engineering. WWS has provided consulting for advanced sustainable developments—including Desert Rain in Bend, Oregon, the first residence in the world to achieve full Living Building Challenge certification. That pioneering work informs WWRD’s approach to the Vashon regenerative development, combining deep technical knowledge of green design and water conservation with an integrated vision of community-centered, ecologically restorative housing.

Vashon & Sustainable Housing

Vashon Island has become an increasingly desirable place to live, offering a rare blend of rural character and close proximity to both Seattle and Tacoma. Yet despite a vibrant Town scene and strong demand, no market-rate multifamily housing has been built in over 30 years due to restrictive zoning and a long-running water connection moratorium. Recent policy changes – and the foresight of this property’s owner and developer, who secured key entitlements early – have now cleared a path forward. With a growing housing crisis and pent-up demand for walkable, in-Town living, the Island urgently needs more multifamily-zoned housing to meet this moment.
